China has built an annual production capacity of 200 million square meters of
display panels, and it is expected to achieve an annual output value of about
500 billion yuan, accounting for more than 38% of the global market.

of the LCD Branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association,
in the first three quarters of 2022, the new investment in China's display
industry exceeded 150 billion yuan, which was basically the same as the same
period last year; The investment in materials is close to 75 billion yuan,
exceeding that of devices for the first time, and the investment direction has
also shifted significantly from LCD to OLED, Micro LED and some upstream
materials.

AMOLED's mass production capacity continues to increase

On May 13, 2022, China's first G8.5+ large-tonnage LCD substrate glass production line achieved mass production at the Hefei base of Rainbow Co., Ltd. On March 30, the production line was ignited and put into operation at the Hefei base of Rainbow Co., Ltd., and on May 1, the good product was rolled off the production line, and the comprehensive efficiency reached the feasibility study standard on May 13, achieving rapid production.

The conference held 1 opening ceremony, 1 main forum, 11 parallel forums, and 1
new display innovation achievement exhibition; 75 cooperation projects were
signed, with a total investment of more than 150 billion yuan; More than 60
global display industry leaders showcased nearly 200 of the latest products,
technologies and applications.

In 2022, display companies and car companies will join forces to increase the size of on-board displays. Visionox signed a strategic cooperation agreement with FAW to build China's leading and world-class intelligent cockpit and advanced display innovation platform, and launched a series of products such as multi-size, multi-form and integrated touch in the field of on-board display. BOE and its subsidiary, BOE Varitronix, have reached strategic cooperation with Jiangqi Group and Xpeng Motors. Tianma and Huaan Xinchuang, an automotive cockpit service provider, jointly invested in the establishment of a joint venture. Guangfeng Technology became the supplier of on-board optical components for BYD Automobile. Hisense Group and NIO have cooperated in the field of new displays in the new energy vehicle industry.

Manufacturers are competing to lay out the upstream to build the MLED ecosystem
In 2022, display manufacturers will compete to deploy upstream MLLED (Mini/Micro LED) chips. Hisense Video and BOE hold Qianzhao Optoelectronics and HC Semitek with 1.4 billion yuan and 2.1 billion yuan respectively. TCL Huaxing and San'an Optoelectronics established a joint venture, and its Micro LED R&D project started in early 2022.
